Ticket Information

For most sessions you only need to purchase tickets for children. Parents go free! However, for our audience numbers it would be really helpful if you added parent tickets to your basket so we can allocate seats.

We limit capacity at workshops to ensure everyone has a fantastic experience. This does mean that workshop sessions tend to sell out quickly so if you want to go to one of our interactive workshops, please do book promptly!

Access Information

We are committed to making Bournville BookFest as accessible as possible.

Assistance Animals are welcome to attend.

We have BSL signed performances for some events. These have the BSL logo next to them in the programme.

Nearly all festival venues are wheelchair accessible and have wheelchair accessible toilets. If you are wheelchair dependent and attending sessions at the Barber Institute, please let us know in advance so we can arrange for access.

If you have any other access requirements, please do not hesitate to get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Visiting The Festival with Children Under 12

Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by a responsible person aged 16 or over who is approved by the parent/guardian.

Bournville BookFest has a Child Protection Policy but we cannot act in loco parentis or take responsibility for unsupervised children.

We take photos for marketing purposes. If you do not wish your child to be photographed please let our photographer know.

We have a separate programme for Teenagers and Young Adults. Please see our website to download the programme.
